Review & Collaboration Improvements
6 updates in Hero, including Deliverable Versions & Compare, Document Version History and PDF Exports Everywhere.
🎬 Deliverable Versions & Compare
Upload new cuts, switch versions, and compare two side by side with synced playback.
Versions: Upload a new version from a deliverable’s menu or the player’s version dropdown. The newest cut becomes current; earlier cuts are kept, each with its own comments. Search versions by name and download the cut on screen.
Compare: opens the current cut beside the previous one. Each side can show any version, playback stays in sync by timecode, and you can comment and reply on either cut.
Who: owners and contributors upload and delete versions; reviewers can view, switch and comment.
🕘 Document Version History
Auto and named versions for treatments, scripts, docs and call sheets. Restore any.
Where: the History sidebar on a treatment, script, custom document or call sheet.
What you can do: browse automatic snapshots, preview one read-only, restore it (with Undo), and save named versions. A named version opens as its own page you can share, rename, delete or export as PDF.
Safety: Hero snapshots a document before an AI generation, import or restore replaces it.
Who: editors. Reviewers can’t open History.
📄 PDF Exports Everywhere
Export treatments, scripts, storyboards, shotlists, call sheets and docs as PDF.
Where: the document’s action menu; storyboards and scripts can also export in bulk from their list. A storyboard offers separate storyboard and shotlist PDFs.
Options: choose portrait or landscape on every export.
Shotlist and schedule PDFs: use the columns currently shown, in their current order.
Call sheets: the schedule flows across pages at full width, with clean page numbers.
↩️ Undo
Bring back a deleted or moved item with one click.
How: click Undo in the message that appears right after deleting or moving documents, frames, folders and files.
Small edits: deleting layers, element pictures, Playground images and similar items happens instantly with Undo instead of a confirmation.
Limits: only the most recent action can be undone, while you stay in the project.
🔑 Easier Sign-In & Access
One account per email, request access from the no-access screen, and reviewers upload.
One account: signing in with Google or with email and password now reaches the same Hero account when the email matches; duplicate accounts were merged.
Request access: opening a project you aren’t on shows which account you’re signed in with and a Request invite button that emails the project’s owners.
Reviewers: can upload files and create folders in Assets, and reviewers and public-link viewers can download deliverables.
🆘 In-App Help
Report a bug or request a feature without leaving your project.
Where: Help at the bottom of the project navigation.
Options: book a call with the product team, email support, report a bug as Critical or Minor, or send a feature request.
